Congressional Green

We have a whole section of our web site dedicated to the topic of "green" and we're not referring to money. That's how strongly we feel about being good corporate stewards in caring for our environment.

We started several years ago when we partnered with Clean Currents to use 100% wind-powered energy in our Montgomery County, MD branches. Since then, we’ve also become the first bank to earn the Montgomery County Green Business Certification and we’re partners with Bethesda Green in their efforts to promote sustainability and be a "green" role model.

Most recently, we’ve made sweeping changes in each of our branches to help preserve and protect our environments including creating a sustainability policy to outline our recycling efforts, and eliminating plastic water bottles and replacing them with reusable tumblers and filtered water. We strive to keep all of our documents electronically, yet when we need a hard copy, all of our printers are set to default to double-sided printing. And, we’re driving this message home to our customers and associates, encouraging them to reduce paper waste by signing up for e-statements and online bill pay.
