We are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus by limiting the person-to-person interactions between clients and employees within our branches.  Before showing up to a branch, we ask that you please contact the branch to discuss your banking needs and alternatives to coming inside a branch. 

Possible alternatives include depositing through the night depository, using the ATM, or using the drive-thru (Bethesda Branch only). 

When those alternatives are not feasible, by contacting us in advance, we are able to prepare for your visit saving you time and minimizing contact.  We like to think of it as “Curb-side Banking.”  When essential, an appointment to come inside the branch will be scheduled.   We appreciate your flexibility. We continue to clean and disinfect door handles, teller counters, and other surfaces on a frequent basis throughout each day and continue to practice social distancing.

When essential, an appointment to come inside the branch will be scheduled. Inside our branches, we are taking precautions to keep the public and our employees safe. We continue to clean and disinfect door handles, teller counters, and other surfaces on a frequent basis throughout each day. We require face coverings to be worn by employees and customers. Clear acrylic shields have been installed at desks and teller stations. By entering any Branch Office of Congressional Bank, you are affirming that you do not have and have not had any symptoms of or been exposed to COVID-19 over the past 14 days. You waive any and all claims against Congressional Bank, including Bank staff and customers, if you contract or are exposed to COVID-19 as a result of your entry. You further acknowledge that Congressional Bank has taken all commercially reasonable steps in mitigating COVID-19 risk at this time.

Drive-Thru

We have a drive-thru at our Bethesda branch located at 4801 Montgomery Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. We have expanded services available to our clients at the drive-thru to include:

  • Cashier’s Checks
  • Change Orders
  • All Account Service Requests

This will cause drive-thru service to be slower than usual, so please be patient.

COVID-19 Symptoms

Please do not come into our branches if you are exhibiting any of these symptoms:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Muscle Pain
  • Sore Throat
  • New Loss of Taste or Smell

COVID-19 and Travel

Please do not come into our branches for 14 days if you have recently returned from traveling out of state or country.
