Systems Upgrade

Congressional Bank continues to upgrade our technology and systems to better serve you! Thank you for your participation in the eBanking systems upgrades. Our final phase has taken place over the weekend of October 23-25, 2020. See below for all details.

Personal eBanking:

Deposit History – 90 days of transactions will be accessible after the conversion weekend. History will build to become 540 days going forward.

Loan History – History will build to become 540 days going forward. Prior history can be found within your statements.

Loan Payments – You will need to reestablish your scheduled Congressional Bank loan payments on or after October 27. Click on the transfers tab in eBanking and establish a repeating transfer.

eStatements – You will need to re-enroll. Login to eBanking and click on “Documents” in the toolbar.

Mobile Banking – On October 26 an update will be pushed to every user and you must accept the update to resume using it.

Quicken Software – DirectConnect users need to contact Congressional Bank Customer Service. Quicken PC / MAC Download Center, CLICK HERE.

CD / IRA Accounts – History and balances available Day 1 – Monday, October 26, 2020.

NO CHANGES: Login Credentials, Alerts & Notifications, External – Internal – Recurring Transfers, Bill Pay, Quicken WebConnect


Business eBanking:

ACH – Cut Off Time 5pm EST on October 23 only. Cutoff time is 7:30pm EST October 26 onward.

eStatements – An Administrator must re-enroll before any sub-users have access.

Loan Display – Updated format.

Loan History – Transaction history will build to become 540 days going forward. Prior history can be found within your statements and are available online.

Quickbooks – DirectConnect users need to contact Congressional Bank Customer Service. QUICKBOOKS PC / MAC Download Center, CLICK HERE.

Telephone Banking:
New Number – Toll Free 855-354-9933. The previous phone number will no longer be in service after 6:30pm on October 23.


Miscellaneous:
Statements – October statements end October 23, 2020. Account activity from October 24 – October 30 will be included on the November statement. Balance requirement service fees will be waived for the November statement cycle. Statement appearance will be different and account numbers, except last four digits, will be masked.

Analysis Checking – Analysis fees will be waived for the November statement cycle. Beginning December 2020, analysis fees will be deducted from these accounts as applicable on the 10th calendar day of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday, the fee will be deducted on the next available business day.

Kids Club Savings – Upon the account owner reaching 18 years of age, the account will be convert to a Statement Savings account. Current account holders 18 year of age or older will have their account convert to a Statement Savings account on October 26, 2020.

CD/ IRA Early Withdrawal – Early withdrawal penalties on CDs and IRAs will be reduced. Maturities less than 24 months will be assessed
a three month interest penalty. Maturities of 24 months, or more will be assessed a six month interest penalty.

ATM Balance Inquiry – Not available between October 23 at 12am EST through October 28 8am EST.

ATM Deposits – ATM deposit functionality will be unavailable at the following locations on the following dates.
Herndon: October 13-27, DC: October 15-27, October, Bethesda & Rockville: October 19-27 and Potomac: October 20-27.
Balance inquiries will be unavailable at all Congressional Bank ATMs from the dates listed above until October 28th, 2020 at 8:00am EST.

New Functionality – Elect to receive receipts for teller transactions by email. Electronically sign many documents that formerly required physical signatures.

NO CHANGES: ATM PINs & Cards, Deposit Account Numbers, Checks, Loan Account Numbers, Overdraft Protection
